Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib again desecrated in village Bath of Distt.TARN TARAN, Punjab (October 18, 2015)—Following a successful Punjab shut down call on October 15 in protest of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in village Bargadi (Kotkapura), another incident lamented the Sikh circles today. About 30 angs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib were reportedly found torn in Gurdwara Sahib of village Bath situated on Tarn Taran – Khadoor Sahib Road.
The incident came into light when a woman went to Gurdwara Sahib at around 2.30 PM. When she began to recite gurbani, she found as many as 30 pages of the bir of Guru Granth Sahib torn. She made a noise as soon as she viewed the sacrilege of Holy Scripture.

Consequently wave of anger gripped the village and the outraged Sikh devotees blocked the two way communication of vehicles on Tarn Taran – Khadoor Sahib Road by parking their Tractor-Trolleys. Another parallel Road connecting Tarn Taran and Goindwal Sahib Sahib was also blocked by the Sikh devotees by staging a Dharna on strike near village Naurangabad.
At 4 o’clock in the evening, SDM Dr. Anupreet Kaur Tiwana arrived in village to inquire about the incident. She was accompanied by the Police contingents headed by Senior Superintendent Police Manmohan Sharma. DSP Suba Singh Randhawa has been appointed permanently in the village to look after the situation.
